Help with eBay?

So my problem is that I have had this huge box full of Pokemon toys on my wardrobe for the longest time, and my only wish is just to get rid of it. I have tried reselling most of these items for so low that they can't get any lower, but I still end up with a lot of extras ( Read more... )

Here's what I found about promoting ebay.com listings on international ebay sites:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/globalexposure.html

Unfortunately, it looks like you can only use the option if you're in the US, UK, or Canada: "Currently, international site visibility is only supported by the US, UK, and Canada sites."

It might be worth looking into your own ebay's policies too, just in case the European ebay sites have different rules about international promotion.

Hmmm, is this for people who are located in these countries, or is this for people who use the US, UK and Canadian eBays? I have a ebay.com account, which means it's US.

I think that if the option tells me to add shipping to Europe and then International, it will list it internationally too?

It says "US sites", so I assume it would work if you used ebay.com to list the item, even if you're not in the US.

I believe you have to include shipping to Europe/internationally to be eligible. However, even if you do that, the listing may not show up on international ebay sites if it's not in an eligible category: "Your item must be posted in an eligible category. Ineligible categories include Video Games, DVDs & Movies, hunting knives, auto parts, and vehicles."

The easiest solution would probably be to go to the "sell an item" page and enter all the info and see if you get the international exposure option or not.

When you list things on ebay there is an option that lets you choose whether you can ship it within your country/continent/the world. That should hopefully automatically make it appear in worldwide ebay I suppose..?

Lately I think big group auctions haven't really been"a thing" so if you hope that someone GA's the lots maybe you could break it down in smaller lots. But I guess trying to list it as a whole might be the least problematic for YOU, so you can always try and list it for $150 and see what happens... best of luck ;w;

As for the rare things in your collection, I think I feel the same about some of my things. I am only really holding onto them ecause they're rare-ish but probably wouldn't miss them much if I sold them... but then I'm afraid I WOULD miss them and it would be impossible to have them back D:

Oooh, now that you mention that, then that could be the case! I will have to look into it more, but yes, that would make it perfect :D

Yeah, that I have to agree with. I don't really hope for somebody GAing my lot, because if I have listed these things individually, I don't think there would be anybody interested in doing it.
Yeah, that would be indeed the best. This huge box takes up a lot of space, and what happens if I do more smaller lots and sell only a few? I still will end up keeping some, and I want this whole thing gone. I am thinking about listing it for 150$ first, if it won't sell, then maybe 100$ and then probably just 0.99$ and see how that goes.

Yeah, this is what I feel about some of my items as well :/
Like some of them I don't even feel a connection to and yet I do have them. But yes, this is what I am afraid of as well, what if I want them back after I sell them? I will have to think this through in a day or two, but thinking about this makes me also think that there are other people who would appreciate them.

Funny you should post about this topic, because I'm dealing with a very surprising incident on eBay that has to do with this ( ... )

Wow.....shows how messed up eBay is X'D
I hope I can just get the money off of this lot and that's it. How much fees do you pay btw? Is it like 20% of the auction, or is it 20% with the shipping included??

I hope you resolved your problem with the Spanish person though! Having to do everything individually sounds like a pain, I wouldn't want to do that :'D
