In which I procrastinate even more!
This time with BSG spec. Contains spoilers for last weeks ep, plus the new promos and the Daybreak summary. And i'm sure most of you have already put all this together, but w/e.
I'm really starting to think Laura is going to die this week. I didn't WANT to believe it, but too many thinks point in that direction.
1.) We see her faint when Hera is taken off the ship. We already know there's a connection between them, but it's highly possible that the cancer treatment caused an even greater connection.
2.) The space promo focuses heavily on the Opera House visions.
3.) Also in the Space promo, Bill is telling Helo that he won't condone a 'suicide mission'.
4.) However, from the Daybreak summary, we know that they DO try to rescue Hera.
5.) The main picture on skiffy is Lee, looking horribly upset. The people behind him are all in dress uniform. A funeral seems the most likely cause.
6.) The skiffy promo for this week shows Bill collapsing in grief. Would all of his angsty goo staring really lead to a collapse like that? I...don't really think so.
So. The way I figure it, Laura dies. But before that, she has at least one final vision of the Opera House, and finally 'learns the truth'. She's going to beg Bill to save Hera, and he'll agree because it was her final request. We've seen him abandon his command to save Laura before - I think it's pretty obvious at this point that he doesn't want to live without her. So if she's gone, he wouldn't hesitate at all attempting what he described as a suicide mission.
There are only 3 eps left...it's unlikely they'll draw the rescue out over several days/weeks/whatever. It's going to happen fast, with the final battle probably taking place in very close proximity to their new home. Which Laura will never see. ._.
FYI, I REALLY HOPE I'M WRONG. ALSO? IF SAM BECOMES A HYBRID FOR REAL I'M THROWING A SHOE AT MY TV.
