Wow, I would have lost my temper hardcore and punched that bitch in the face and said "I KNOW EVER HARDER WORDS LIKE 'DEFENESTRATE' WHICH IS WHAT I'M GONNA DO TO YOU, BITCH!" lol Nothing like that has happened to me in my salesgirl career yet, but I guess working in a school bookstore gets you more credit bc ppl assume you go to the school and thus know HARD WORDS like RUMINATE. (actually, that word makes me laugh bc it makes me think of "ruminant", which makes me think of cows or stegosauri lol)
...
...ruminate comes from Latin, you know :) the verb ruminare means "to chew cud", but can also mean to ruminate (don't ask me how the two are connected- cows and stegos are pretty freaking stupid lol). The Latin noun "rumor" comes from this verb and is the root of the English "rumor" :) :) :) :) :)
(btw, I looked on dictionary.com to see if that was actually a word, and I came up w this)
per·sev·er·a·tion n. Psychology.
1. Uncontrollable repetition of a particular response, such as a word, phrase, or gesture, despite the absence or cessation of a stimulus, usually caused by brain injury or other organic disorder. The tendency to continue or repeat an act or activity after the cessation of the original stimulus.
2.The act or an instance of persevering; perseverance.
(does that make any sense in the context of what she was doing/saying?)
B/c being a salesgirl is your calling in life afterall akjsdhalkd
You know, from watching lotsa daytime TLC, it seems to me that stay-at-home moms, especially when they only have toddlers n babies, lead really, really, REALLY boring lives and are deprived of social interaction w/ ppl who can actually speak coherently, so she prolly has no one better to drop 12 dollar (probably incorrectly used) words on than Kohls ppl. Kinda sad lol. Watch her come back like "I HAVE A NEW WORD" and be all excited bc she has no life...
you know i try to pretend i'm really dumb and happy and then when i'm describing how dumb i am i use (correctly) a word like "subservient" and it completely ruins my facade.
