A story dredged from the bottom of my 'fics' file

So, this is old. I read it out of the blue a little while ago and liked it. Like everyone else on the planet who saw it, the last scene of the Erica Hahn character on Grey's Anatomy was beyond stupid and illogical, it was lazy and bad storytelling and this was my weak attempt to clean up the mess in my own head. After reading it again for the first ( Read more... )

SHE'S ALIVE!!!! Again!

I like when you're coming back :D

Well, I most certainly would love to see this ending. I miss seeing Erica on the show, but if they'd get us a departure at least half as good as this one it would be easier to watch.

And I love that there was no happy ending! :D Thank you for writing again and sharing :D

Can't wait for "First Contact" to be continued though :P

Take care and come back more often :D

Hey Manic!

Long time, huh? Hope life's treating you well. I've made peace with the show and it's treatment of Erica. And by 'made peace' I mean I pretend the show doesn't exist.

No happy endings here. I've come to the conclusion that I'm not real good at writing happy endings. *shrug* What can you do? Glad you liked it anyway.

I reread 'First Contact' the other day. I might try to hammer out a little more. Writer's block hit me hard for a while there. I think it's starting to ease up and the creative juices are starting to flow again. I'm not making any promises, but maybe...

Nice to be back. Hopefully you'll be seeing more of me. Take care yourself. :p

Now this is my kind of Erica Hahn! It really was too bad she could only be tough like this when she was in doctor mode. In any case, thanks for posting this. There are some of us out here who may never get over the injustice of what happened, so having a new Hahn story is always welcomed.

I think it's everyone who liked the Hahn character's kind of Hahn. Too bad the idiots at ABC and Grey's had to screw her up. By trying to please the slavering masses who were scared by seeing a strong, forthright women, they lamely attempted to 'soften' her. She didn't need to be softened, she needed to be explained, but that would have taken decent writing and some attempt at reasonable storytelling. Good luck with that, right?

Anyway, glad you liked it. :))

You're preachin' to the choir, here, but still: AMEN, SISTAH!
