I know it's a different philosophy from the old regime of a 10-day lie-in for new mothers, and that birth is not an illness . . . but bouncing 'em out 10 hours after birth doers seems somewhat precipitate. It carries the efficiency of "hot-bedding" to a ridiculous degree. My argument is weakened by the fact that Bianca could not wait to get home.
*shrugs* I still think new mothers deserve a wee rest after all that hard work *shrugs again* . . .but what do I know?
New Mothers & 'a wee rest'...caerwyddynMarch 26 2007, 01:38:07 UTC
Big *smoochy* Congratulations Grandpa, yet another to add to your (as yet undefined) total of Grand-Offspring... *Cheers*! Xanthe can't be a year yet, or not long past, surely? - That betters my 15mth age difference, BUT can she,(Bianca) do 3 under 3? LOL
As to the 'wee rest', having done this 7 times personally, 2 at home and Thingy who didn't want to leave the comfort of 'womb and bored' - I Agree! That IS what Fathers' are for, No? (apart from that moment of mutual pleasure that starts the cycle ;) ) About two years seems fair... :D
All I can say from a more personal point of view, is Thank the Goddess for Medical Science and Vasectomies... *snerk*
ONYA Wall & Douglas/Bianca too! Welcome Douglas 2nd!

Funny how I recognise those names...what happened to Somerled?
No 40 y.o. Glenfarclas here, but consider DEW toasted with some quite adequate Talisker.
