3080, they start to repeat after a while, and I think I maxed at 47, though I'm doing this with a migraine and started to glaze over. Must try again later. Some good words there...
Yes, quite challenging - brain food on teh intahnet! What next?
Quite a few answers were frankly guesswork, but Latin, Greek and French at school did help to work out several. Others were a process of elimination. I think I'll do this on a daily basis.
Today - Quit at 1170 and rating of 47. CANNOT get past 50. Most frustrating. Or is it the max? Memo to self - must check FAQ. And, yes, starting to get repeats, which must skew the results.
Biology Higher (roughly comparable to the English A Level) at school helped in what now seems to be a fair number of botany and zoology terms.
But . . . but . . . some of the words offer options, all of which are plain wrong. F'r'instance: elide - not ennoble, brag, adorn, or suppress. I went to the dictionary just to check there wasn't some esoteric variation. Nope. Same with sententious. What gives?

My son was able to scored between 38 and 40 pretty consistantly. Good for him...he's 16. *Proud momma*
