Why is the smallest person in the house occaisionally full of the pukes? Dinner last night, no problem. Bed at 7, no problem. Back to bed at midnight, no problem. Snow?
It smells like snow here. This is a smell I know all too well, since I grew up with it. Before I moved here, my nose was almost never wrong about snow, but now I live in the Bay Area. It simply doesn't snow here, certainly not at the altitude I live at. What does this mean? I think its going to be a strange winter in California for me. -
Fired, Dismissed, Terminated, Shit-canned, etc.
Well its been a long day. Went to work, got sent home and suspended "pending our investigation" at 10. Pending investigations are really useful covers for "we can't actually fire you until we have your check in hand, so go home, we'll have it tomorrow". So I've been fired. Petey just got up from his quiet time, went into the spare room, found my old Gene Simmons Psycho Circus edition figure and took it to bed with him. What an odd comfort object this could turn out to be. -
Perfection
A Zen-like sense of perfection has been achieved by sitting here with both my kids watching the Mets beat Atlanta. All is good in the world. -
Finally
Finally I feel like I have truly fulfilled my fatherly duties. My son is sitting on the couch with me watching the Dukes of Hazzard. Its about time. Yay!! -

So I haven't exactly been on here lately, but its been a little busy. I'm managing the Jamba Juice at Stanford University which is certainly challenging. I have basically turned over my entire staff, trained new ones and moved my management team closer to promotions.
