I finally finished my Christmas shopping. Now, the hard part begins. The waiting. I want to give gifts NOW! I'm excited about Christmas eve morning. Opening gifts with good friends, and the sweet boy, and having a big delicious breakfast! The party next Friday should be a good time too. Other than that, Christmas will be pretty strange. where are you going to school when you transfer? i can't wait to go back to school, i'm still going to have 4 years probably. :(
family stuff is hard during the holiday season. you're welcome to joing me for my family festivities. this is made easy because my dad will be in florida. no trying to squeeze everyone in. unfortunately, i will not see my dad while i am home, talk about f-ed up. he is going to stop by boone on his way home though. but the way it sounded, he may only be here for 1 night. sweet dad, real sweet.
i too am excited for christmas eve morning. i can't believe you're done with shopping!!!!

I have applied to Northern and Olivet. I am very excited about taking classes this semester. Not necessarily excited about the classes, but excited to be accomplishing something with school.

I talked to my mom yesterday, and she again mentioned nothing of Christmas, so I called her today and asked. We now have plans. We might have Christmas dinner at Cracker Barrel. How funny is that?!?!

Christmas eve morning will be such a blast!! I'm really excited too.

I forgot... thank you for inviting me to your family's holiday fun. Two others did that as well. It's a very nice feeling to care about people enough and be cared about by people enough to be invited to their family functions.

I'm really sorry to hear about your Christmas plans. I'm really emotional this year too. My parents moved to Florida, so my mom's family isn't having the big extended Christmas party that we used to have at my parents' place. Nobody else wants to host it, so it's just cancelled. That's like *thee* big party I look forward to every year and it's heartbreaking. That and all my friends that moved away will be coming back to Lansing while I'm in Florida. I'm going to miss all the Christmas fun. Blah blah blah.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas anyhow. Go have fun with some of the people I'll be missing out on. :o)

Oh, and I know what you mean about giving gifts. I can't wait to, either!

Being that Christmas is not about Christ for me, and is about family, I definitely agree that not having the normal family stuff going on is totally heartbreaking. Luckily, my mom and I finally talked about her intentions, so although it will be far from the traditional way we do things, we will all at least be together.

You should have someone pick up a gift on your behalf for the pirate exchange and then someone can participate on your behalf and then mail you the gift. You could be there in spirit while staying warm in Florida. :)

I'm assuming that there will be a mix tape party, but this is just an assumption. Nobody has said anything. Personally, I don't feel like mix tapes. I feel like mascara and heels, but that's just me.
