I tried to post here earlier and somehow my delete key got stuck while making a correction and erased everything I'd written. Hoping a visit to the Apple store is not in my future ( Read more... )

Hooray for gardening and making nice crossover connections between that and the books. This is a Good Thing.

It's no secret that I'm a fan of the Outlander tv series, and I'm enjoying the audiobook. Given the massive fan base they've worked very hard to build around Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, it will be interesting to see what happens to the tv series when they reach the point in the books where Jamie and Claire are no longer centre stage all the time, and the plot gets that much more sprawling.

Rinaldo/Pasha = yay! But then, so does every pairing you write, because you do characterisation so well.

As far as that Ebooks Tree thing goes, well, I'm afraid to look. It utterly baffles me how anyone thinks to create sites like this. I assume there is some illegal profit to be made. Ugh. Hopefully, as you say, the whole thing will just disappear.

Have a good week!

And it did disappear, well my works did at least - see just-posted update.

I'll see about catching up on Outlander when the summer heat starts to get to me. :)

It's interesting how the fact that you are selling your books affects your pov on the etree debacle. I think, since we can't do anything at all to prevent bots from scarping links, finding something positive about it is actually a good idea.

I also feel that statistics are on everybody's side in this sort of thing - the huge number of works snagged meant that the chance of any one of them being chosen by potential illegal readers was very small. And it's all over now!
