Positions
4 months after Daniel returns from Pegasus.
Very sappy and fluffy, and my first attempt at something NSFW. Hope it isn’t a miserable fail.

He woke up to find her in second position. Each position was unique, and she had no idea that he had categorized them.
First position was most common and involved waking up to her sprawled across his chest pinning him to the bed. Always the pirate staking her claim, he thought.
Third position was waking up finding her in a little ball with him curled around her. He disliked that position, not because he didn’t love having her in his arms but because it meant nightmares plagued her during the night. Even in sleep he subconsciously reached out to soothe and protect her.
Forth position was really less of a position and more of a battle strategy for her and a defensive posture for him. Forth position involved elbows to the solar plexus, cold feet pressed against him, occasional sharp toenails cutting into his legs, a few kicks, stolen covers, and forfeited pillows. Once he woke up with the sleeve on his t-shirt ripped, and he was convinced the similarity to the evidence of their altercation on the Prometheus was not mere coincidence. She had done that on purpose to remind him that she could kick his ass if and whenever she chose. He hated the nocturnal results of an argument.
Second position, however, was his favorite. He would wake to her turned to snuggle closely into his chest with her arms locked around his back, her legs tangled with his, and her head tucked under his chin. He always teased her about waking up with her hair in his mouth, but nothing made him feel more secure. She wanted to be here, and their lives-honestly, their souls-were as entwined as their bodies were in those moments.
He was elated that things were going so well despite what he had once considered their insurmountable differences. She had just gotten home last night from a week off-world with SG-3. It was the first time they had been apart since his return from Atlantis and his subsequent admission of love. He had been worried she would change her mind about them, but everything slipped back into place when she skipped through the gate heckling Reynolds about tripping over some animal that reminded her of a hedgehog.
After her post mission exam and briefing he had walked to her quarters to pick her up, so they could leave the base for the evening. When she had opened the door, a settled feeling enveloped him. She smiled that brilliant toothy grin just before he tipped her face in position for a welcome home kiss. She must have been exhausted because she did one thing that she rarely ever did: she broke the kiss and leaned her head onto his chest.
Silently he had praised himself for preparing for such an eventuality. Dinner from her favorite restaurant and a bottle of wine awaited them at his house. As soon as they walked in the door, he waved off her help and prepared a tray to carry to the bedroom. She was so tired she simply asked him to tell her about SGC happenings, while she smiled at him and ate like a horse. When he finally moved the tray away, and settled beside her, she kissed him soundly and fell immediately to sleep.
Now, with the morning light seeping through the curtains, he wanted to demonstrate just how much he missed her. Her faint snores vibrated through her body into his as he traced words of love onto her back using phrases she was teaching him in her native language. She instinctively reacted to his touch by sinking her nails into his back and trying to burrow even closer into his body.
“Daniel,” she purred. “Missed you.”
He brushed her hair back, pressed his lips to each of her eyes, and began kissing his way to that spot behind her ear. “Missed you too, sweetheart,” he said right before he captured her lips with his.
She opened to him but instead of accepting the invitation he pushed the strap of his favorite Victoria’s Secret nighty out of the way and nipped along her collarbone and across her shoulder.
Vala groaned, and he sensed her frustration in the scratches she was leaving along his back and neck. “Kiss me, Daniel, please.” She begged.
He smiled but continued mapping her body with his teeth and lips as he positioned her beneath him. She shifted her hips in what was meant to seem an accommodation, but he knew was actually her readying herself to flip him on his back. “A ghrá mo chroí, easy,” he whispered as he lifted her just enough to pull the sapphire nighty over her head.
“Daniel, language-“ She played with the drawstring of pajama bottoms.
“Gaelic, love of my heart.” Leaning down he pressed a kiss to her forehead and then to her lips. This time when she opened to him his tongue dipped inside.
As their kisses became more intense, Daniel’s focus narrowed, and his awareness of anything other than the taste and the feel of his Vala faded away completely. As for her, awareness of all things Daniel exploded as he brought all of her feelings to life.
She hooked her thumbs on his waistband to ease his pajamas down. He assisted her by maneuvering them off as he worked one of her nipples against the roof of his mouth. When she gasped, he abandoned his work to trail kisses down her belly. He pulled one of her legs over his shoulder and smiled up at her as he leaned down to finally taste her.
“So good,” she moaned as he hummed against her and slid two fingers inside. He knew how close she was as he continued to lick her folds. She laced her fingers in his hair and pulled him closer. “Daniel, more.” He responded, and she exploded.
Easing himself up over her, he slid inside. “Oh Gods, Vala, missed you.” His kisses mimicked his thrusts as he brought them both to the edge.
“Daniel!” She screamed, and he came.
He loved waking up to her in his bed in any position. They were home.
