My friend, LCPL Chris Lyons was laid to rest on Monday. Here are pictures from his funeral.

i know i talk a lot about how i don't support the war, but i do support the troops...till the end. It hurts to see another fellow human fallen because of bush's personal vendetta.

Thank you, Tiffany. I learned of your group through another LJ user's info page who contacted me when I first learned of the loss of my friend. Chris's wife and mother are accepting condolences on-line at various websites only. I will look those up later and post them on patriotpenpals. After losing Chris, I decided to try to help someone in Iraq by being a friend from far away...I hope that I can connect with someone who really needs a friend - someone who doesn't have anyone. If you hear of any such person, please let me know.
