Well, the registrar was more useful than the consultant, as it's often the case ( Read more... )

You know... I think you really needed this break, kudos to the doc (Dr Trent per chance? He has been my saviour in leaving me at home to look after myself in this current flare up rahter then ruching me back) and stuff work - it really looks that it was getting a wee bit too much. Forget about the 4 months off in 8, it's not like you had a choice is it? I've been off since late January, and the first three months I essentially slowed my recovery down with worrying about being sent back before I could cope but at the same time worrying what the porlonged absence would look like on my professional record - forget it it and make sure to re-allign yourself ( ... )

woodside medical practice, Jardine Crescent, Dr.s Trent, Taggart and Cooper. I have found Dr Cooper to be a bit of a cold fish, she wasn't very helpful, Dr Trent has been super for me, haven't seen any of the other associates at all.

Out of curiosity, if you don't mind me asking, why did yo end up having a pain clinic consultation?

Oh it was very refreshing to have Windows conversations.. took me back to my distant youth.. when I would go round to a friends to see if they were comming out to play:D:D

The transport museam is actually very good.. but I reckon I walked miles..

Its good to see that the medical fraternity are taking things a bit more seriously, Even if they do think its all in your head:/. (stoopid doctors) Though personally I did find pain management consultation very instructive.

but I reckon I walked miles..

then it's good I didn't come yesterday, the visit itself floored me and I am having neck and shoulder stiffness vergin on spasms - and this is after the muscle relaxant i took yesterday.

I know what you mean about windows conversation, they seem somewhat out of place in Britain but their are part of dayly experience in Italy - maybe even too much! - but they can be sooooo convenient! :)

To be fair to the docs they have been taking things as seriously as they can, it's just htat they do not know very much at all about fibromyalgia and they have varying personal/relational responses to the fact that they do not know everything :P
