Masked Art Paperlegends 2011
These are my final drawings for pathera 's story "Masked" for the paper legends.
Summary: Heroes are made, not born, and this is how it's done. Merlin is born with magic, but it takes more than that to become a superhero in a city that casts them as the enemy. In between balancing his day job as a personal assistant to Arthur Pendragon--who happens to be the son of a man leading the crusade against magic--and jumping off rooftops by night as the Warlock, Merlin has to try to keep his dual identity intact and stop a twenty-year old vendetta from destroying everything he knows. This is far easier said than done.
Notes : Thanks to her (Pat of course) for the marvelous inspiration and all the ideas shared and all her "Wow!"s and "That's soooo cute!"s to make me want to draw even better for her.
Thanks to briar_pipe for her help, and support, and being there if needed (I regret not making her work harder ^^). She's always good advice to listen to.
the_muppet , you and your team are absolutely amazing! The timings and the organization were fantastic!
Some thoughts and things that happened while drawing :
After having my sis butting in on every drawing I made, I escaped to a café to draw (the Arthur and Merlin one). Some guy laughed at it ^^.
It's so nice to draw with a purpose!
It's sad not to be able to put up all the drawings and work I made for this story.
It's fun meeting people to chat about a project!
Warning! Some old inks change color when they dry.
I'll definitely do it again!
This is soooooo stressing!
Warnings : None, though the drawings might be spoilery to the story!

Merlin. And Arthur. This is the only illustration I drew with him in it for this story.
Arc I fell in love with, I drew him so many times!
It's definite. I suck at photoshop and I used printing paper for the watercolors... But they're still kinda nice, I'm happy with them.
