Mom's got the bends. Again. It's the same thing that happened last time she SCUBA dived. She had to be air ambulanced to Oahu and put in the chamber. Blargh on that.

Goodness gracious! How long has she been SCUBA diving, and does she dive with a dive computer? Anyway, she should be fine, especially if she was quickly placed in a recompression chamber... but that's quite startling. Is she PADI certified and all that jazz?

She and my dad have been diving since.. uhm. Forever. Around when I was born, if not earlier. ^^;; And they dive with a computer.. oddly enough, the first time she got the bends was the first time they used the computer. But yeah. She should be alright; she was last time, since she got there quickly. She's certified and everything. It's probably because she's not super in shape and is overweight. I know that can have an effect on things. And would explain why my brother and my dad were fine.

My dad isn't exactly the most fit person either, but he's a former Green Beret, so he's tough as nails I suppose... Some people are just especially suspectible to decompression sickness, so I suppose that could be the case? Anyway, I really hope she gets well soon, and that it doesn't happen again. Don't worry yourself silly, love!

Yeah. ^^; Mom had knee surgery not too long ago (in April), so she hasn't been super active up to this point. 9_9;; And it seems like she's just really prone to getting it.. boo. Thanks. ^_^; I hope you get better soon, too. You sound like you've been having it really rough. @_@
