The Canon 1-D Mark II is... enormous.

It fills and is the equivalent size of both......-one-. One...of.. my tiny hobbit!hands and then some.

/exaggerates.

Someday- I'll need to sell my car and get an equally powerful lens for this.

I would totally keep a baby dropped on my doorstep. I would be super excited, actually. I wouldn't want one on purpose, but I would totally keep one that fate (or a 16-year-old) brought!

Oh.. so that is the Digital SLR for Canon? Dad has the Nikon D80. I know he loves it. <3 But yes... body parts selling is necessary for lenses... as dad asked for a telefoto and mom and I died on the spot as we know what they go for. x_x Darn you Nikkor!

It's one of their- many many -many- versions of a 'Prosumer' digital. It's no 5d Mark II. But a few steps down.

I typically use a digital point and shoot ...but really feel it stifles so much I want to do.

Hopefully someday I'll be able to use this.

( But on the issue of lenses- yes. Damn them all. Even the off-brand 'El cheapos' are at least a couple hundred dollars a pop. )

Sounds confusing and exciting all at once. I adore photography... but I'm still in the dark ages clinging to my FM2 and all my knowledge in how to do the stuff in photoshop with the camera in my hands. x_x I miss the dark room too. -Pout.-

Well... mom and I will start saving for next christmas for dad lens.
