Sounds like my class on coevolution...Only that class isn't nearly as simple-minded as that article sounds to me and goes a lot more in depth. The next generations ideas and beliefs are going to be different from that of their parents, and injustices of the time will continue to be recognized and continue to change, according to a culture's needs and values of the time. It doesn't matter if liberals pass on their ideas, there will always be "liberal ideals", but they may not necessarily be the same ones we have now in future generations. Like biology, cultures would never evolve if we were all exact replicates of our parents. Some traits will persist in future generations, and others will vanish, depending on the circumstances. Even if liberals don't reproduce as much as conservatives, liberals can still pass on their ideas just by existing and openly expressing their ideas to others. To make my view of a long story short--"not all feminists are born from feminist families. Not all misogynists are born from misogynist families. Not all liberals are raised liberal; not all conservatives are raised conservative. Not all atheists are raised atheist; not all religious folk are raised religious. Etc." It does give rise to some interesting discussion, though, which is always okay in my mind.

I think the author's arguments are sort of silly as well, especially if you consider that the divorce rate now is higher than it ever has been in first world countries, resulting in more children being raised by strong, independent women than ever before. And the real kicker - the divorce rate in supposed male-dominated religious households is higher than any other demographic in the country.
