This first recount is a bit sketchy at best, because I really can't remember all the details. Mika, feel free to fill me in on names and fix fallacies.
All of the characters were invited to the Opera house, which is the primary Elysium for the city's Kindred. Chiara came with her other Uncle, also a New York Giovanni, whereas the Concubine and Hans arrived together, and Dom and Walter by themselves. Many-a pompous and self-important Camarilla member spoke out loud that night about the City's Prince, Qadir and his Sheriff, Alexander Xarhakos going missing,
but nothing brought about such a hubbub as the appointment of a new Scourge. Dom was brought on stage, portraying the same image of being flabberghasted as was currently reflected on Chiara's face.
From her seat, our Malkavian curiosity followed an odd display of shadows turning into pathways before Dom, apparently visible only to the oracle, or more likely no one else saw anything out of the ordinary. After the awkward and tedious assembly was over, C decided to follow the fresh Scourge outside, coming into contact with Chiara. As both Hans and Walter came along, all of the characters soon sat comfortably at Chiara's 3-room penthouse suite in Manhattan. The Toreador took special notice in the artwork, as the Tremere examined Chiara's library in reluctant appreciation. The troupe was bound together, as C was suddenly adamant that she should stick with this interesting Caitiff that had shadows dance in his presence.
Dom was summoned by Galebros, a Nosferatu and the temporary Prince, to visit him soon enough. The only problem was where to find a Nosferatu? Why, in the sewers, of course. Because there's not too much of that in New York, cough...The unlikely fivesome ventured into the sewer once, only to find nothing but muck and rats, latter of which Chiara is dreadfully scared of. Second time around, the little Necromancer staid behind in the safety of her apartment, while the rest descended into the Sewer maze once more. They were treated with cordial hospitality by Nosferatu standards, as the temporary Prince sent his gargantuan albino alligator (!) to pick them up. In the end the temp Prince had nothing much to say - just that he had wanted to see the Scourge. D'oh! CRYPTIC METAPHORES!
The next plan would be to accomplish something and go to the penthouse of the lately disappeared Prince Qadir for investigations, as several greedy Camarilla elders and Ancillas are trying to get their clutches on the title. And oh boy, if the first game was more about forming and finding our bearings, the second one last night was nothing short of adventure...more on that when I get around to it!
