So, there's something that my reviewers have been doing a lot lately that I feel really needs to be addressed.

I have to give you word on this. I don't know why some people are so scared of dropping criticism or think that writers will immediately take offence. Seriously, I think if a writer can't handle criticism or just writes for the sake of getting "OMG, plz update" comments, then it's not probably not the right thing for him/her. When it comes to professional writing, then critique - brutally honest criticism - is something one has to able to handle. It's not always nice to hear that you've done this or that wrong, but, in the long run, I always found criticism to be immensely helpful

I've never offered criticism, and I rarely review unless I am deeply affected by the story. There's so much shitty fanfiction out there, some of which I read when utterly bored. It would be a waste of bandwith to give even flames to such stories. The good fanfics recieve reviews such as "I really liked the writing style/strong imagery/whatever in this," not something in depth. There are yet other stories that I become so wrapped up in, I can't reivew because anything I say would pale in comparison
