I was looking forward to a productive day. Around 7 am, I took Jim to his office so he could go on a day trip to the 1000 Islands with his colleagues. "Cold Comfort Farm" was not on my radar, but Rufus Sewell? Might have to check it out.

I've missed so many "touchstone" movies. I was too young for some when they were new. I know I watched Clueless a couple of times, though. And I'm pretty sure I watched "Mermaids," though I can't remember anything about it now. I've never seen "Pretty in Pink," "The Breakfast Club," or any other brat-pack movies. Am I missing out?

Oh, yeah, Rufus Sewell...droool. I seem to remember him playing bad guy parts in American movies a few years back.

Technically, I was too young to see all the "brat-packs," too, but my mom loved some of them (NOT "Pretty In Pink"--turns out she found that one as disappointing as I did). But, "The Breakfast Club" is a bit of a classic, but I haven't seen it in over 15 years. I can tell you for sure that "Sixteen Candles" is worth a watch. I've loved that movie for most of my life.
