something i didn't realize is that i've never been a cellist as an adult. i've always had a teacher guiding me, and i've always been in some kind of academic setting when i've been playing. i have no safety net now, and my conductor is only 24 years old and therefore won't treat us like kids and hold our hands. and no one in this orchestra knows ( Read more... )
