I've compiled a list of things that went badly today.

• If your friend hasn't shown up twenty minutes into a one hour lecture, chances are she's not coming. Hence, you should allow people who do show up (abeit late) to have the seat rather than force them to wander all around the lecture hall disturbing everyone else.
