We had our first calculus test today. The bastard gave use 15 minutes for 6 questions. I believe his intention was to give us 30 minutes, but he spent half that time handing out the tests. He had two different versions of the same test, which he wanted to alternate between neighbours to prevent cheating. So he walked around the entire lecture hall ( Read more... )

Hey
just looking around (I am a university information fiend right now, especially student recollections. :P)........I know this entry is really old, but ....was this teacher's name Chawla?

I've heard (horror) stories about this elsewhere. Sounded familiar.

Especially since I have this prof for Calculus too.

I'm afraid I don't recall. When the course was finished, I purged as much of it from my memory as possible.

I remember he was Indian, heavily accented, and somewhat slim. And he was about my height: 5'5". The next test was slightly better... he let his TAs help :P

See, I don't want to scare you. I had a bad experience with him, but his rating is actually pretty good on RateMyProfessors:

I knew - knew I should have dropped the course early on. But I was also new and I didn't know any better at the time. So part of the blame is mine. I also could have applied myself more. I had him for MATH1515.

He doesn't not reply to emails. At least not quickly.
