The Giving of Thanks

This year, I give thanks that I have a husband who would have gone out for chinese if I'd not wanted to cook a turkey.  This year, I give thanks that I had a night of drunken karaoke and my mild-mannered boyfriend took second place and went home with a bag of dicks. I absolutely hated to play the "dead pet" card. It was a seminal part of that trip, though, and my memories of the trip.

Oh, family. This just about made me cry.

I spent Thanksgiving with my chosen family. My best friend's mom wrote me a message saying thank you for being her son's "Oregon family". Chosen family all the way.
