The reason for having Deaf characters and ASL is a winding bit of craziness that's the rabbit hole of my brain. But, once my brain went there, I was all "Well...I mean, duh, why couldn't some characters be Deaf?"

I have always wanted to learn ASL, and maybe one day I will, and so I hope I did it justice.

ASL is a great language to learn, it expands how you think! I encourage you to take some classes!
