CHARACTER INFORMATION-
Canon Character and Series: Uchiha Sasuke, Naruto
In-Game Name: Sasuke Uchiha
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Position & Ship: Victoria II - Radio Ops, Sub-Lieutenant
Appearance: Sasuke is roughly 5'7" but still growing. His build isn't overly muscled, but it's not exactly wiry either. He's pale as a sheet, and his eyes are black as his hair. In appearance he takes after his mother, both in face and stature. His hair is kept in an odd style, medium long, the bangs normal at the sides of his face, the back sticking up in a gravity-defying display of weird genetics (and consequently why cousins shouldn't marry).
Noted since childhood for being exceptionally handsome, Sasuke has never cared about his own looks, and dresses for convenience, not to enhance his appearances. His style tends towards shirts he can take off in a hurry, if he needs to use his cursed seal, and baggy pants. He carries his sword with him wherever he goes, and while his face can be surprisingly expressive, his default expression is generally a neutral or disinterested stare.
Personality: Sasuke is a closed book to most people. He strikes people as either cool and mysterious, or cold and standoffish. He makes no secret of his quest for power and revenge, focusing all his energy into training, attaining strength, and observing those around him. His sharingan assists his naturally observant nature, but even without his clan's legacy, he has a high amount of perception and the intelligence to use it to his advantage. His obsession with vengeance forces him to walk a fine line between his own humanity and the need for power. He's not above using others as tools to get what he desires, but he will not harm those he doesn't believe deserve it if it's within his power not to.
His rivalry with Naruto (or Naruto's rivalry with him) through the academy gave him someone to relate to, in a way, before the formation of Team Seven. After the formation of the team, he grew grudgingly fond of Kakashi and Sakura as well as his obnoxious blonde teammate. He wouldn't hesitate to jump into danger and even death to protect those few very precious people, even at the cost of his own vengeance. He loves to fight strong people, as a measure of his growth. But he will look for the best way to handle a situation, even if it means avoiding a fight. After he left his village and severed his bonds with Team Seven he seemed to grow completely cold and willing to kill those he had once wished to protect.
These contradictions in Sasuke's nature make him hard to predict or read, but they are part of his personality. Warped as he can be, he has yet to take another life with his own hands.
He is not known for being polite at all. He addresses people he likes and dislikes with little respect, though in the latter category a high amount of disdain colors his general rudeness.
Abilities/Weapons: Sasuke has the same sharingan abilities as all members of the Uchiha clan. To top that off he's incredibly skilled in Taijutsu and Ninjutsu, the top of his class at the academy in all subjects. He has the same fire powers as all Uchiha, as well, though his main ninjutsu attacks are more lightning based. He is able to manipulate chidori lightning in almost any form he seems to choose―from fine needles, to a paralyzing current through his blade, to a full body electrical charge/shield; if it's lightning and has to do with battle, Sasuke can probably do it.
He's gone so far as to learn how to manipulate the weather and harness real live lightning which he can call down on an opponent. The move, called Kirin, takes very little chakra to control, but the set up requires a lightning storm, and an immense amount of chakra is required to produce the fire jutsu that can disrupt the atmosphere enough to create one.
Other than those special abilities, Sasuke is fast and skilled and a very, very quick learner, with a keen intellect and innate ability at tactical planning. He can do all the things any shinobi can, walk on walls and water, jump impossibly high, and other basic ninja stuff. He is also a skilled swordsman.
How well can your character hack?: Up to medium difficulty. Part of a ninja's skills involve gathering information, especially information no one wants you to learn. However, since infiltration was never his focus, he learned only as much hacking as was required.
Weaknesses: His attitude. I mean, seriously, have you talked to him? He's prickly, surly, short, sarcastic, dangerous, and most of all, obsessed. When it comes to his brother he will stop at absolutely nothing to find and kill the man, whatever the cost to himself. He's learned enough restraint not to go completely batshit at the mere mention of Itachi, but his self control in that area is still limited.
He's shown a willingness to kill his own former friends, but it's a charade. He has yet to take a life, and he would rather work harder and expend much more energy to disable an opponent, then kill someone (who isn't Itachi). He won't fight to kill, even if it means he loses the advantage.
He's cocky and arrogant, and while he has every right to be, that doesn't diminish the fact that eventually he's going to run into someone much stronger and faster and smarter and all around better then him. It'll be hard on his ego.
He suffers post traumatic stress syndrome, and has a serious lack of counseling to deal with it. He doesn't angst or bemoan his fate, no, instead he gets angry, surly, and even violent when reminded of his family's murder.
He dislikes people getting close to him or hanging off of him. And while he's desensitized to anyone invading his personal space due to his years with Orochimaru, he's still cold to anyone who gets too close.
As an after affect of his training with Orochimaru, and the forbidden techniques and drugs and experiments he underwent, he's fairly unstable if pressured. And though he is confident, when faced with something he cannot defeat, he is certainly not fearless. He will turn tail and run if he is scared beyond reason, unless he has no alternative or unless he is snapped out of his panic, either by the necessity of protecting someone, or by someone snapping him out if it.
History: Sasuke was born the second son of the head of the Uchiha family in the town of Melior. The Uchiha, among being one of the richest and most prestigious families in the town, were also direct descendents of the old warlords, with Sasuke's father's line being the most direct line of male heirs. Sasuke's father was the chief of the military police in town, and his older brother Itachi was a beloved prodigy, expected not only to succeed and honor his father, but bring further glory to the name Uchiha. Sasuke himself was a sweet kid, but often compared to his older brother, enough to push him to constantly seek to surpass Itachi and prove himself to his father. Not only was the family involved in official politics, but they were chief members (and also because of their standing in the military police, chief enforcers of the secrecy of), the "Leaf Village", Melior's shadowy ninja organization.
Even as he yearned to surpass his brother, Sasuke adored him as well. He was jealous of Itachi's time, and took every opportunity to be with his beloved brother. When Sasuke was at last enrolled in the military academy of Melior at age seven. (with high expectations that he would be recruited for officer material at a young age, just like his brother) he entered school with the determination to please his father and outdo even his genius brother in ninja arts and military strategy. At the same time he began formal instruction as a ninja in the "Leaf Village", excelling at the top of his class in both due to hard work and a natural genius for the work.
His aspirations were short lived, when he returned home one night to find his entire family slaughtered, not a single relative left alive, and his brother standing over the bodies, claiming to be the culprit. Hardly able to comprehend the betrayal, Sasuke went berserk, first denying the scene, then attacking his brother, in the process unlocking the sharingan―an ability genetically available only to members of the Uchiha clan. His attacks were of course useless against Itachi, and his older brother forced him to witness the scene of his family's death, before telling him to cling to life and eventually come again before Itachi when Sasuke had unlocked his abilities to a greater extent. Then Itachi left.
Too traumatized by the details of the night, Sasuke forgot he'd unlocked the sharingan, as well as a few details about his brother's appearance (such as, maybe, the presence of tears on Itachi's cheeks). As the sole remaining heir to the Uchiha fortune, Sasuke was never in want of finances, and dedicated himself more then ever to his studies in the military and in the arts of ninjutsu and taijutsu.
He graduated the ninja training at age twelve and joined a four-man squad led by the talented Jounin Kakashi. His teammates were Sakura and Naruto, and while they didn't all get along to begin with, as they worked together they began to bond in friendship. His military training he continued between missions, finally graduating at thirteen due to both his genius and financial influence, and his need to concentrate on his missions. Within a year the team was deemed ready to take the trial to advance in rank, and that's when trouble really started. Sasuke also unlocked the sharingan again during that year.
The legendary sannin Orochimaru had his eyes on Sasuke, and during the exams approached him and cursed him with the heaven seal. Sasuke managed to survive the curse, but had little control over it. After the exams his brother also appeared, and for reasons unknown to Sasuke, was targeting Naruto. Sasuke, driven to the edge by his brother's reappearance and lack of interest in him, abandoned his team and the ninja organization and went to Orochimaru for power.
Three years of intense training and forbidden techniques and drugs followed, leaving Sasuke colder and more hardened then ever. After the third year he deemed he had surpassed Orochimaru, and defeated the snake-sannin in a confrontation. He didn't kill the man, however, instead leaving him to take up his search for his brother, with the only hint being that Itachi was now a member of some shadowy organization, whose intentions and goals were unknown.
He gathered a team of Orochimaru's old subordinates and searched for Itachi for a while, but with no leads and limited mobility, he dispatched the team to search on their own, while he signed aboard the first ship that was likely to take him across any information regarding Itachi. And hopefully keep him from seeing his old teammates from his childhood again.
