On flirting and puberty.
Damian: Gross, flirting.
Steph: I'm happy to hear you say that.
Damian: Why?
Steph: Because you're too young to flirt.
Damian: Why would anyone my age want to? As far as I'm concerned you all get weird when you get older.
Steph: ... this is true. I agree, for once.
Damian: None of you seem capable of focusing the moment someone of the opposite sex comes into your periphery.
Steph: The Cupid thing doesn't count. That was magic or... something. I'm all about the Batgirl thing.
Damian: Dick's IQ drops by thirty points if he's fighting a woman. Fifty, if she's a redhead.
Steph: Maybe it's... biology? Some guys are just like that.
Damian: [Unimpressed.]
Steph: Who knows, maybe you'll be like that one day...
Damian: Never.
Steph: How do you know?
Damian: I refuse.
Steph: Sometimes you can't help it.
Damian: Why not?
Steph: Because. Things change! Suddenly you start seeing girls in a different light. What once was gross and icky is now... fascinating. Just wait til you hit puberty. [Will pray for Dick.]
Damian: That sounds highly unrealistic. Physical changes aren't going to change my personality. You'll all still annoy me.
Steph: Ask Dick. Seriously.
Damian: Why can't you explain it?
Steph: Because! It's not something you should hear from a girl. Dick can tell you.
Damian: [Deadpan look.] What?
Steph: I'm not telling you. It's too... awkward.
Damian: Why is it awkward?
Steph: Because puberty and girls are awkward! I'm not going to talk about voice changing and other things. It's just. No. That's Dick's territory. I wouldn't want to take that... honor away from him.
Damian: It just makes you sound like a coward.
Steph: No. It's me saving myself from a really weird situation. Saving you, too.
Damian: It can't be that bad.
Steph: You don't want to hear it from me.
Damian: Well, if I find out and it's not bad at all, I'm going to know you're a coward.
Steph: If you find out and it IS, just imagine me telling it to you. And then you can thank me. I'll settle for flowers and a nice note.
Damian: Maybe a note.
Steph: I guess that'll do.
