....This reminds me of this horrible book I read one time though, about things that sparkled in the sunslight.

Well . . . I've never heard of a human, or an animal, possessing the same features or abilities as the beings the patrols have been reporting. I suppose it's still possible, but . . .

Because it makes them look bad, and promotes stigmatization even if was a Demi-human. And that just leads to bad, bad things.
