Strange...how I can really really really like a fic...and yet not know what the heck is going on. ;) fated_addiction fics do that to me a lot too...
Then again, my thought process at the moment is completely lacking the proper steps.
As in, all the steps.
I'm sure once I nap and re-read this, I'll go, "OOOOOHHHHHHH!!! DDDDUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" like the idiot I am.
For now, lemme just say: I love your House voice. :)

Ooops. That was me, sorry. This was... happy/sad/adorable.

“I wanna go sleep with mommy.” / Take a number, kid. “Ok.”
And add funny to the list.

H/C kid!fics are my new favorite

Oh, and I googled Pavese after reading this to get the full text of the poem; it's lovely and matches the mood of the fic.

I like the format and stuff. Not sure what's going on or why Cam is sick, but what I see, I like.

The Cameron stuff is loosely connected to the story of this woman my mum met who, years after having a lot of problems before/during/after the birth of her only daughter needed to get a hysterectomy. Problem was no doctor wanted to perform it because there was a huge risk that she would bleed out. Hope that helps a bit.

what I see, I like.

Me likes that you like. *G*

I really really liked this story, especially your writing style. 2nd person POV and the flashbacks weaved into the dream was really enjoyable to read. Just a little confused about Cameron's surgery....seems like something happened before she had the baby and that something "eventually" as Wilson said needed to be taken care of by surgery. Just curious what the surgery is for...

Also, is this a completed oneshot or will you continue with more chapters??

Really nice work!

Thank you so much!

I'm glad you enjoyed the weaving of dream/memory; I wanted to experiment with that and it's actually the reason I wrote this.

Cameron's condition. Heeh, I just added a final note about that. But your assessment is right-on, and the unsaid something that needs taking care of is her uterus: she needs a hysterectomy.

Alas, no future chapters. This one is definitely a oneshot.

Thanks again. I'm very glad you enjoyed. =)

You like Pavese? Oh, you rock! I love him but unfortunately he's not very well known where I live. In fact, you're the only other person that's ever shared the love. Isn't he amazing?! *fangirls*

Now, I have to come clean and say that I didn't intend for this to be a multichapter. However, if it's any consolation, I was solely interested in House's reaction to the possibility of facing that kind of loss. Ergo, Cameron's death was never in the program -you know, for what's worth. ;)

I adore the House in this fic, because IT.IS.HIM.

This means a lot to me, it really does.

Thanks a gazillion.
