Like everyone else here, you have been brought here from your world for the reason of rebuilding this city. That is, from what we have gathered, it could be for something else considering how quiet and cryptic those scientists are.

Perhaps I should not be surprised. It seems quite a lot have something against them for their shenanigans.

See? We've seen them but sadly haven't met them face to face, or at least, I haven't.

A few days earlier this place was pitch black due to that ash, and even before we had earthquakes bad enough that a floor in an apartment building collapsed as well as several other structures.

Volcanic activity tends to affect the surrounds depending on the magnitude of eruption and built-up pressure while still dormant. I suppose we can only be glad that it is possibly far from Discedo, if all this had gone on for days before my arrival.

... It would have been more dangerous, really.
