Chapter 1 Chapter 2

Chapter 3: Part 2

The three of them, Ryosuke, Yuuri and Rhea, walked out of the school and towards the restaurant beside the school.

“You’re eating at a restaurant?!” Ryosuke exclaimed.

“Yeah, it’s very luxurious.” Rhea replied with a laugh. “If we haven’t these one with us, we can’t eat there.” She showed them a little, yellow badge with the schools emblem on.

“I see..it’s some kind of..security then?” Ryosuke said and looked closer at the badge.

“You can say that..” Rhea said and her face lit up as she saw her friend, Nicole standing outside the restaurant and talking with no one other than Nakajima Yuto himself. “Nicole~!”

“Rhea!” She shouted back and waved. The two friends embraced each other as Nicole spoke.

“What happened on the Swedish lesson?”

“Nothing special really, Sonya picked on me again.” Rhea said with a smile and the boys couldn’t help but wonder how she could smile through it all.

“Really? Nothing else didn’t happen?” Nicole asked and raised an eyebrow. ”I met her in the hall way and she was quite angry and muttered to herself about annoying brats and respect less students and something about incompetent foreigners..?”

“Oh that..” Rhea said and her smile vanished. “They walked in..just when she was about to talk..I guess..she hadn’t got the news about the new students.”

“I see..how bad..”

“But let’s put that aside. Now it’s time for some lunch right?!” Rhea exclaimed and went back to her cheery self. “Come on, we don’t want to miss the lunch right?” She continued as she turned to the boys who had watched them the whole time without understanding a word.

“Oh..right!” They followed the girls in to the restaurant and upstairs to the serving room. Today’s lunch was the classical Swedish food. Meatballs and potatoes and cranberry jam.

They met a teacher that wrote that the boys could eat and said that their badges would be prepared until tomorrow.

“Look! There’s Shino!” Nicole said and they walked to the table were Shinosuke sat and ate his food.

They got their food and sat down by the table and greeted the Japanese teacher.

“Hello Shino!” Rhea and Nicole happily said.

“Hello Rhea-san and Nicole-san.” Shinosuke said back. “Hey guys, how’s it going?” He said in Japanese to the boys who just sat down.

“It is fine so far, Takiwara-san.” Ryosuke said. “We have managed to survive a Swedish lesson.”

“You weren’t bored?” Shinosuke raised an eyebrow while smiling.

“No, it was pretty interesting..Rhea-san kept us busy.” Ryosuke replied.

“I see..how did it go for you Yuto-kun?” Shinosuke said and turned to Yuto.

“It was okay..we had English..so I could understand it a bit..Nicole-san helped me a lot.” Yuto said between his bites. “This is great! I haven’t tasted something like this in my whole life!”

“It’s a Swedish specialty Yuto..” Ryosuke said.

“Yuto-kun is eating like a pig~” Yuuri sang and took a bite of his own food. “But it is really great ne?”

“It is Chii.” Ryosuke said and smiled.

Shinosuke had started to chat with the girls about the coming lesson and what they thought they would do to make it easier to understand for the ones that had problems.

The girls were eager to help him and gave examples and offered to help him, since they already knew it, and that they could soon move on to the next lesson.

“I think that Ryosuke-kun, Yuuri-kun and Yuto-kun may be kind enough to help us out too..?” Shinosuke said and turned to the eating boys.

“Huh?” All of them stopped in the middle of eating and raised their eyebrows.

“Can’t you help Rhea-san and Nicole-san with the Japanese..since you’re in the need of learning the basics..and they’re kind of better than the rest.” Shinosuke repeated himself as the three boys listened.

“Oh..that..sounds okay..I guess..” Ryosuke said and looked at the others who nodded in agreement.

“I’m more than happy to help out Rhea-san!” Yuuri chirped and smiled as the latter blushed as she barely understood the meaning of his words.

“Girls, the boys had agreed to help you out with your Japanese, so can I continue with learning the basics once again to the others.” Shinosuke said to the girls who soon smiled broadly.

“Thanks a lot!” They said and turned to the guys, who only smiled.

“It’s nothing.”

The lunch soon ended and they had to part to go to their respective lessons.

Nicole and Yuto had social studies while Rhea, Ryosuke and Yuuri had chemistry.

The day ended with peace and no accidents involving the teachers happened. The boys had some problems with understanding, but it was normal, the teachers said they were going to get some materials to them to the next class.

They bid their good-byes to their new found friends and started to walk towards their new home.

“How was your day Yuto-kun?” Yuuri asked with a smile.

“It was pretty nice..I would have thought it to be worse..” Yuto replied. “I’m glad I have someone to talk to.”

“That sounds good.” Ryosuke said. “I think we had a great day too, ne Chii?”

“Yep! I think it isn’t going to be that bad as we thought.” Yuuri said and gave a peace sign.

“At least it isn’t raining anymore..” Ryosuke added and sighed as he looked up in the sky. There was surely something wrong with the world…

He glanced at the shorter boy who walked beside him at the empty cycling road. That boy really could change his appearance. One time he’s nervous, the other he’s smiling.

Ryosuke remembered the times when it was him who was the braver one and the one to protect his Chii. But time has changed them and the little boy he knew and admired turned in to a more mature boy, even if he didn’t thought that by himself, since they all grew up.

There was also that time before the last interview when they had been harassed by the street jerks. It was him who lie on the ground and were beaten up, not Chii. It was Chii who was brave and stood his ground and thought of him.

Ryosuke shook his head in disbelief and smiled to himself. Whatever that happens, Chii would remain the same and be his and only.

Yuuri glanced at the older boy that walked beside him and seemed to be in deep thoughts. Was he worried about the school and how they would be able to survive?

Yuuri frowned but stopped as he saw Ryosuke smile. Anything that made the older boy happy would make him happy too.

He had noticed that through the years it had become him that protected the older one and not the other way around. He didn’t know if Ryosuke wanted it that way, but for him it was important since Ryosuke had become such an important person in his life. Maybe he wouldn’t have managed to come all this way if it hadn’t been for Ryosuke.

He had been his shoulder to cry on when he needed it, his light when he was lost and his warmth when he felt cold.

He didn’t want to be the spoiled member in the group, but he couldn’t help to love to be spoiled when the other members treated him so kindly.

Lap treatments, smiles, hugs and food. It was a daily routine for him but nowadays he tried not to be spoiled, but as soon as Ryosuke offered something, everything went blank in his mind.

They reached their apartment and sat down in the living room. Ryosuke stood up and walked over to the kitchen.

“Do you want something?” He asked. “I can make something.”

“Only if you leave the strawberries out.” Yuto said and laughed.

“Of course. They’re mine and only mine.” Ryosuke replied and laughed along.

“Anything is good for me but egg plants.” Yuuri said and smiled.

“Fine.” Ryosuke said and started to make some sandwiches and made some lemon lemonade.

“Why lemon Yama-chan?” Yuto whined.

“It was the only thing that was in the cupboard.” Ryosuke said. “You don’t seriously think that I would choose lemon over strawberry?”

“That’s a point.”

“We can go and buy some strawberry flavoured lemonade later.” Yuuri said and started to sip on the lemonade.

“Yay! That sounds great!” Ryosuke beamed.

“You and your strawberry fetish..” Yuto mumbled.

“But strawberries are like..wow..!” Ryosuke said and smiled brightly.

Before any of the other boys could answer, they heard a phone ringing.

“I’ll take it!” Yuuri said and went off to answer the phone. “Hello? Chinen Yuuri speaking.”

“Chii! How’re you?” A bright voice exclaimed.

“Dai-chan!”

“Who is it Chii?” Ryosuke asked.

“It’s Dai-chan!” Yuuri replied as the other two ran to his side to hear the conversation.

“I’m fine Dai-chan, and Yuto-kun and Yama-chan too.” Yuuri answered his question. “How’re you back there?”

“We’re fine, kind of tired..it’s almost midnight here!” Daiki replied and yawned.

“Why are you calling then?! You should be sleeping!” Yuto exclaimed.

“No worries, I have Hikaru here to wake me up tomorrow. Can’t friends give each other a call sometimes?”

“Of course, but we don’t want to keep you up late because of us.” Ryosuke said.

“That’s okay, I’m glad you’re safe.” Hikaru’s voice was heard.

“Thanks for worrying, we’re glad to have you guys.” Yuuri said.

“No problems at all, that’s what friends are for right?” Daiki said and the three boys could have sworn that he smiled.

“Of course..but take care..and say hi to the others! And go to sleep!” Ryosuke said.

“You sound like Yabu when you act like that Yama-chan..” Hikaru said and laughed but stopped as the younger boys heard a whack sound. “DAAAAAAAAAIKIIIIIIII!”

“Call you later!” Daiki’s voice was heard before the line went dead.

“Bye!”

The boys hung up and the smiles never left their faces as they started to wash their glasses and throw away the leftovers.

“What shall we do until..shall we say..nine o’clock?” Yuto asked.

“I don’t know..what can we do?” Yuuri said. “We don’t know anything..”

“I have no idea either..” Ryosuke said.

“I guess we’re all used to be such a large group..we always got something to do then..” Yuto said and dreamed off.

“Don’t think on the old days Yuto-kun, it will only make you sad.” Yuuri said and poked his taller friend at his left arm.

“Chii is right, don’t dwell on things that have passed by.” Ryosuke said and clapped Yuto on his shoulder.

“You’re right, but all memories won’t make you sad ne?”

“Of course not Yuto-kun.” Yuuri said. “But thinking on bright times when you’re bored makes it even more boring.”

The three boys laughed at Yuuri’s sense of logic and wished that they also could think as easily as him.

The boys decided just to relax and take the surroundings in and get used to their new apartment.

“Looks like I got the computer!” Ryosuke exclaimed.

“But I got the TV!” Yuto countered.

“And I got nothing!” Yuuri said and the other boys went silent. “What..? It’s true!”

“How can you sound that happy then?” Yuto asked.

“Because I can always sneak in to Yama-chan’s room if I want to use the computer and I can also sneak in to your room if I want the TV.” Yuuri said and smiled.

“I’m going to lock the door.” Yuto said and sighed.

“There’s no lock.” Yuuri said and smiled a mischievous smile.

“Damn it..” The other boys said and groaned. “We’re going to have a squirrel roaming our rooms..”

“Don’t worry guys..you can always use my room.”

“I prefer to keep you out of my room..” Yuto said. Ryosuke had no idea how he was going to reply this since if he said something too harsh it would hurt the other boy’s feelings and if he didn’t say anything it would seem that he didn’t care.

“Mou..you’re mean Yuto-kun.” Yuuri said and pouted and with that action, Ryosuke patted the younger boy on his head and assured him that it was okay.

“It’s fine Chii, he’s just kidding. You can always come to me.” It was truer than said. He wanted Chii to come to him when he was down. He wanted Chii’s attention only.

“Yay! Yama-chan is the best!” Yuuri said and smiled as he hugged the older boy. How he wanted to only have his attention, but it would surely be wrong. Two guys can’t love each other right? Fan service maybe was all he got but it was better than nothing. The younger smiled a bright smile as he snuggled closer to Ryosuke’s neck.

“You’re very clingy today Chii.” Ryosuke pointed out. It wasn’t that he minded but Yuto would surely think they’re crazy.

“That’s because I haven’t clung on someone earlier.” Yuuri replied simply and continued to cling on Ryosuke. “I’m not that heavy ne?”

“Of course not Chii.” Ryosuke said and smiled. “Even someone as skinny as Yuto would be able to carry you.”

“I’m not that skinny!” Yuto countered. Ryosuke ignored his friends complain when he felt that Yuuri was a bit heavier.

“Chii?” Ryosuke asked and took a look at the smaller boy. He was sleeping. “He’s sleeping?”

“It seems like that..” Yuto continued.

“He must be tired to doze off that suddenly.” Ryosuke said and watched Yuuri breathing slowly. “I’ll put him in bed.”

“Do that..we maybe all need a bit of rest.” Yuto said and started to prepare himself for the night.

Ryosuke put Yuuri in his bed on the sheets, not wanting to change the younger boy’s clothes because it would have started some chain reaction in his mind and he was sure that Chii would be embarrassed too, even though it wasn’t something he hadn’t seen before but even so..it would feel awkward.
