Question? Translation: POTATO May08

We asked (Question?) what they think of from the phrase “When I close my eyes”. And then, not only using your eyes, but also your feelings, we also asked them what they think of the phrase “Ideas that happen to cross my mind”..

Now, when i close my eyes? I think of the next Live (peformance). The titles (of the songs) and their order keeps circling around my head. I get this feeling everytime before a Live and I get quite troubled. Different sorts of patterns (of performances) keep popping into my head and I can’t seem to organize them properly. But recently, I’ve been deciding by thinking of the audience first. After all, I want to show the audience something they would enjoy, and I am sure that this attitude will apply for the rest of the upcoming performances. If we’re talking about ideas that happen to cross my mind, I am type of person who uses more of his logic rather than that. “Why did it become like this?” or “How did I feel when I did this”, I often analysis things like this, I think. Althought I feel that there is nothing wrong in doing this, some people may feel that it’s too logical *laughs*. However, in my private life, I live entirely by following my feelings. Because I’m wild *laughs*.

For me, when I close my eyes, I think of movies. An artsy kind of movie. I thought this was very normal, but when I was in elementary school I asked around about this and strangely I thought “Oh, so it’s only me?” and I was very surprised. I wonder what this is about? Do I make up a movie in my mind? If so, I feel that this is an idea that comes across my mind. And in this way, I feel that it’s important to look not with your eyes but to think of ideas using your mind. For example, when we’re composing songs, you use your head to think, and all of a sudden the melody or the lyrics just suddenly pops into your head. (Potato: Is there any way to “polish” up such feelings?) Well, it all comes down to believing in yourself. If you have feelings which will not be affected by what other people say, your beliefs will not waver, and therefore your feelings will be “polished”. I am able to think in this way because of all the experiences I have gone through so far. So that in the end, there is nothing called “wasted” in life.

I think of dreams when I close my eyes. I really dream a lot. Just the other time I had a dream that Ishigaki-kun and I were walking and participating in some kind of club event at the park near my neighbourhood, and all of a sudden we were flying in the sky *laughs*. And the dream ends off with a strange ending of having a barbeque party at my place *laughs*. I was very bothered by it, so I checked on the internet the diagnosis of my dream, and according to the results, when a park appears in your dream, it means that “I want to be independent, I want to live on my own!”. It’s indeed very true! I wonder they derived such things huh. Dreams are really a wonder. Other things that would come across my mind when I close my eyes? FIVE’s Nakaegawa-kun *laughs*. I often watch their Lives, but they are really able to pull the audience to their own world and it’s very cool! I really admire that power.

I’m recently quite addicted in changing the interior of my room. I buy small items and change the placing of the furniture in my room, and it’s quite refreshing. I’m only left with buying a pillow, and then I’d be satisfied. I tend to sleep sideways, and my current pillow is a normal one, but when I wake up in the morning my face hurts *laughs*. So I’m thinking of getting a pillow which is for people who sleep sideways. Oh, and my room’s full of black and blue. It gives off the feel of a child’s room though, surprisingly *laughs*. Regarding today’s theme, I’m more of a person who acts on whatever comes across my mind rather than by logic. I first carry out my actions before thinking, and then from the situation I choose which is the better solution. Being in this line of work, there’s a lot of decisions that we have to make very suddenly. That’s why, instead of thinking too much, I want to give an answer straight away. I mean, there’s no start for something that’s not moving.

When I close my eyes I think of my friend’s faces. Because to me, they are a very important presence, so it’s like they’re constantly on my mind. In the future, no matter what I really don’t want to lose the kind of relationship I have with my friends. If we talk about the meaning of “Ideas that happen to cross my mind”, I am one who wants to live his life with the importance of the ideas that happen to cross my mind. For example, when I look at clothes and I think that “That’s not bad” and I buy it, and when I look at people and think “I want to be friends with that person” I would go and talk to that person straight away. That kind of feeling is nothing to be looked down upon. I think it applies to life itself too. If you had to choose between two paths, there would be some degree of thinking, but in the end it all depends on what comes into your mind at that moment, and I think that that would be the case from then on. If you happen to fail you just have to sort your feelings out and work hard again. For that part I wouldn’t want to be logical.
