I had one of those moments of clarity on Sunday while I was running my long run. I started running to prove something to myself and running distance comparable to what I was doing over the winter AND having crushed my 10k PR and still coasting on the huge win that was the Warrior Dash, I feel like I have proved it. Sure, I'd like to be able to get ( Read more... )

Well I will always be a WW advocate so if it fits in with your activity level, I say go for it! :o) I think you're being smart with your goals and are going to go nowhere but forward! (And down, with the weight, hehe. :p)

I'm still rolling it around in my head. My most recent experience was so much in the vein of a fat support group and leaders that didn't know the program. I'm sure some of the latter has changed since they've had more time to get familiar with it. It's really just deciding that it's worth $80 (Doreen would be coming too I'm sure) to find out.

Yea, I'm feeling better on the whole. The longer I keep working the knee without pain, the better I feel.

Yeah I feel ya. It's all about the right leader/group. What about just doing the online version? You get all the tools and it's so much cheaper!

True but if I'm just in it for the tools, Livestrong has a stunningly good online food/exercise tracker for free.

It would have to be about the group.

I'd not heard of him before. He kicks much ass!
Sadly his tour has already passed my area but what a cool idea.

Thanks!
Honestly I'm not sure how far I'm off. Of late, I'm re-evaluating my goal weight. As I continue to lift and run and bike, muscle is going on. I'm also looking at who I want to be as an athlete. The body required to finish a Super Spartan (for example) would be very different from the body that would bring me my best time over 26.2 miles.

So... my current thinking is 40 lbs. That said, I want to lose another 45 lbs of fat.
