I'm afraid as soon as Jack put Gray in stasis I've been thinking... bad move, Harkness. And I think the Master always has an ulterior motive so 'offing' Gray so perfect for this fic :)

Well, he's psychotic, but you can't fault what he did. Jack shouldn't have allowed Gray to live in the first place...although I understand why he couldn't kill him.
I have the feeling that if Ianto goes with his grandfather, that Jack will never forgive him. Frankly, I'm surprised that Jack stood by him after finding out who his grandfather was!

It's been intimated in TW that Jack done plenty of wrong things himself... and Ianto is not responsible for his grandfather's actions (he's wasn't exactly happy when he found out about what happened on the Valiant) - but would Ianto leaving (if he leaves) be a step too far - even for Jack?

And Gray - well as far as I'm concerned - he had to go ;)
