wonderful to see this. I'm glad Jack doesn't toss Ianto to the side for the actions of his grandfather. Further, I'm glad that Ianto doesn't just forgive his grandfather for what he does - resigned acceptance instead. Good on Ianto for having Jack alert the Doctor. Though I would *love* to hear that exchange.

I'm so glad Ianto's waying of dealing with his granddad worked for you - I was worried since I didn't want to to be too 'easy' a fix... hard being the grandson of the Master.

while it's hard to be the child/grandchild of someone like the Master, you also can't blame that child or grandchild for the actions of their parent/grandparent. You've made an effort to establish that while Ianto love his grandfather, he is also aware of what he is capable and more importantly, wasn't aware the extent to which he tortured Jack on the Valiant. I think if he knew and and didn't have a reaction, it might be different. But he does and then he does one better by telling Jack to let the Doctor know.
