Whining about my Wednesday
So I really hate Wednesdays. The middle of the week, they are never fun. But really my Wednesdays this semester just are awful.
And I just need to vent/rant/complain.
-I had a 2 hour chem lab, which really isn't that bad. But it was just long and boring--not a great way to spend 2 hours.
-I had a 3 hours Evolution Lab. Which usually isn't too bad. Except today it was 3 straight hours of tedious but complicated math calculations. Three hours of mathematical computations dealing with population genetics. I hate, hate, hate math...and what made it worse, I was paired with a girl who just...didn't get math. She's an Anthro major, and really nice, but pretty clueless when it comes to anything Biology related. So I had to explain everything to her, which is fine. But then we are doing the calcs and our answers differ, so I double check mine, and mine are right and hers don't even make any sense, at all. I mean, yeah I hate math, but I'm not that awful at it and it was pretty obvious something had gone really long with her Chi-Square value. It didn't make sense. Anyway, I state that it doesn't matter if hers are off, because mine are okay so we can use my numbers, but she insists she figures out why hers is wrong. I mean who cares? I certainly didn't. They were at least 7 or so steps where it would be easy to make a simple mathematical error. But no she gets crazy and nervous and says we have to figure out why hers doesn't make sense. And it just went on like this. On and on and on.
And I was tired before that...
-Then I had 3 hours of auditions. Which were just long. And at awkward times.
-And somewhere between the auditions I thought my grandmother was dying. But she's not. She is (hopefully) going to be okay. Well she better be anyway.
But....some good stuff did happen today. I got chocolate. Easter chocolate and lots of it. And a ducky that came with jellybeans and lights up. Very very cool. And I did get called back for auditions, which was rather nice, even if it resulted in having to attend 3 hours of auditions today. And...I just ate some weird peanut butter cookie which was yummy.
