I adore the thought put into this, this backstory actually sounds plausible. I especially enjoy how it's done from Paradox's view, somehow it does him beautiful justice.

This started from the idea that someone who can invent a working way to travel through time can't possibly be so stupid as to not try the obvious solution (i.e. kill Pegasus before DM) first, and kinda grew from there. And I have to say, those guys become more Woobietastic the more time I spend writing them. I think at this point I would just hug the living daylights out of them if I ever met them xD
