I have had my first week of classes. And it has been a ball. In some ways a vindication for things I already knew. And learned a lot.   The downside is that in my current job I do not need the knowledge. So my poor husband gets to be the recipient and patient listener of my newfound wisdom.

This week sucked, a lot.   Sunday the boy went to a fight practice.   I amused myself by doing some embroidery and eating American corn.  A tin my mother in law gave us for Christmas.  And somehow managed to break a tooth, the very back tooth.  I suppose that was my punishment for not taking down the Christmas ornaments like I was suppose to ( Read more... )

Came home last night after not doing everything I wanted to do. The boy was in the kitchen and I was in the second bedroom/computer room when there was this sound, kind of like a limb hitting something.   Turns out one of the oak trees around our little duplex had fallen down and flattened the van across the middle.  The tree also brought down some ( Read more... )

I just noticed that it had been ages since I posted anything. For once I am not sick or having any issues. Life seems to be pretty good overall.

After a rather stressful two weeks, I had a nice crafty weekend.  And did two things that I had not done in forever.

I made Sam and Pat cards for their birthdays yesterday and I played with the maru dai today. I did not have nice coloured threads but used what I had and at least I can still make some braids. And very few tension issues.

Saturday was the family outing to the Ren fair. My sister in law and her husband discovered ren fairs a few years ago and thinks it is the best thing ever.  Somehow we got dragged into going to Shrewsbury with them.
