Thank you, for the flowers, whoever you are. [There's a bouquet of flowers on the bed behind her.]So I'm sixteen now. Isn't that a special age? And what's really nice is that I got a letter from the circus people. Wishing me a happy birthday... It was a good birthday ( Read more... )

Hi, I don't think I've met you, but you worked at a carnival too?

I worked at a circus, not really a carnival. A really small circus.

I'm Helena.

I used to dance for my carnival, we had about twenty people.

I'm Jean.

Twenty, we were around the same, then. You danced? You must be really good.

[Lets assume that America said Happy Birthday to Helena on her birthday because yeah oops my bad. He grins.]

So you liked the flowers?

And yeah, some people consider sixteen to be pretty cool! 18's a better age though, as that's when people can start voting!

[Okay. XD]

Oh, so did you send them, then? If you did, then you're being really obvious.

A lot of stuff happens when you're eighteen, though.

No I'm not! [He's grinning though totally not helping his case at all.] ..but it's good if you did.

Yeah, but.. sixteen's cool, too!

And you got a nice letter!

Well, I did like them. Too bad you didn't send them, right? [Totally playing with him now. pfft.]

I ran across it by accident, actually. It had the same letterhead design that my dad always used.

Stellar says she doesn't really like to, but I'll juggle with you to the extreme! Any time!

She said that? Oh. Oh well. Sure, we could juggle together whenever you want. I'm sure you'll be better than me in no time, anyway.

She wanted to try 'cause she thought you'd be sad if she didn't want to. But I told her you wouldn't make her do something she didn't like and you'd probably be happy that she gave it a chance.

Haha, I wouldn't say that! I'm forgetful to the extreme.

Yeah, that's about right. I don't want to force her to juggle if she doesn't want to. [Talk about suppressed feelings. Her parents practically force her to work in the circus.]

Your hands always remember, though.

Thanks. It was a couple of days ago, but... better late than never, right?

I'd have been on time if I'd known. I'm glad it was a good birthday, even if it was during the event.

It was mostly the one nice letter I got. The others were easy enough to ignore, eventually. Especially since I was practicing my tightrope, which always gets my mind off things.
