On a Mission

Because I need to remind myself, here's the Mission I posted soon after the New Year:

I will re-learn to say "No."

I will no longer let others make decisions for me.

I will no longer acquiesce to others' whims without a good reason of my own to do so.

I will no longer say "yes" just to keep the peace.

And, additions to the Mission:

I will learn to stand

I'll certainly keep you posted... with any luck (and lots of work!) I'll have a new place to move into in fairly short order. I'll probably need help with that.

The "understanding" part isn't so hard... I know where I need to be and what I need to do. The difficult part is the "action"... I'm scared.

But, a person I respect greatly told me not long ago a little bit about conquering fears. I'm keeping visions of high-dives and big splashes firmly in my mind... it's a good example to follow.
