The Big Three Zero
I love other people's birthdays, but I've always been quite ambivalent about celebrating my own. However, given that its a nice round number, I'll be celebrating my birthday in the Top Bar at Uisge Beatha (otherwise known as Ishkies) on Woodlands Road on Saturday 16th February from 7.30 till they throw us out. Positive Psychology
I attended an event tonight run by various Scottish and Dundonian worthies, which brought " a leading proponent" of positive psychology - Tal Ben-Shahar - to Dundee to talk about Leadership and the Positive City. As someone who is trying to be positive about living in Dundee at the moment, I had to attend.

Too busy to blog
So in the last week I have been to London and Glasgow, caught up with friends old and new and become an expert on the future. All these things are worth blogging about at length, but as I'm off to Spain tomorrow, I'll have to catch up on them later.

A good cat
Tim was a rescue cat, a tiny scrap of ginger and cream, the only survivor of a cliched "burlap sack in the river" rescue. In Sompting, Tim was top cat. He fought for his territory against the giant red setter which lived two doors down, but with people he knew the limits and tolerated the overwhelming love of my sister Charlotte (then aged 3). Back to School
At the start of the year, I completed a 18 month development programme with the work. It was a mixture of leadership and management skills and learning about the business. At its conclusion, we were offered the chance to "complete the qualification" with a two year p/t conversion course with Napier University for a BSc. I had a look at the syllabus ( Read more... )
