I want to thank all of you for your kind comments on my Natty Bumppo post - I generally try (and don't do a very good job) to answer all the comments I get, but there's a difference between saying "hey, thank you, I worked hard on that!" when someone says "I really liked that part with Eames' dong," and trying to answer someone saying "I'm glad ( Read more... )

Haha, your writing process and mine are v. v. similar, and this is also why I try (and fail) not to talk about stories until they're done. I'm very much somewhere in the middle of this with the latest Steinway fic. I think it's I HATE EVERYTHING, to specify. I'm glad you're ahead of me with the Viking fic, though. So excited for that!

I didn't comment on your Natty Bumppo post though I meant to, and I'm so glad everything is better with him. I'd wondered and hoped but it's awesome to know that he's healthy and you have made it through. I can't imagine how heart rending the whole experience must have been. ♥

I want to say that this is the last time I will talk about this story until it is DONE, but I think we all know that, much like Arthur, who tells himself he doesn't care what a slave thinks, I don't really mean it.

LIES!

I am still waiting for you to get this out of your system. SO YOU CAN WRITE ME EYEBALL SEX.

LOL. Your second paragraph reminded me of Bilbo Baggins' going-away/birthday speech in Fellowship of the Ring:

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

No way out but through. Trufax, both in life and writing.
