Thank you so much! PILLAGING. I wanted to name this something like SLAVE OF MY HEART or LOVE IN CHAINS, but...then I didn't.

That's what subtitles are for! "Take A Good Hard Look At That Monk Fucking Viking" or "An Assfucking Work Of Historical Accuracy" or really I should not have finished that bottle of wine....

But (thankfully for all of us) you're classier than I. I always thought Take Clothes Off As Directed was an excellent title. There is something very nice about serious(ish?) titles when reading something that makes me feel all these FEELINGS. Which is a convoluted way of saying that I really like the title you chose!

so... this was amazing. It even made me less grumpy from the time change. You are clearly a miracle worker.

I am so glad you enjoyed it! Good luck with the time change (it is a draaag compared to Fall Back, I agree.)

My apologies! I finished it last Monday and have been torturing it through the beta stages SINCE THEN and finally, just, UGH. it was time.

OKAY! I finally read it (and let's be honest, I was counting the minutes, presenting my little song and dance making recommendations for a small city in my state w/r/t possible planning interventions and analysis of current housing market conditions in their urban renewal district etc. etc. and the entire time I was all CAPSLOCKY in my brain because VIIIIIIIIIIIIKINGS) and I LOVE IT SO MUCH, HELEN HOW SO AWESOME? I totally expected to keep story at emotional arms' length, because, well, VIIIIIIIIKINGS, it seemed so ridiculous, and so many handjobs, and as I have mentioned elsewhere, I mean, I DID read all those Johanna Lindsey books in the late 80s, and I just thought...I just thought I was immune, okay? I AM NOT IMMUNE. This absurd Viking story MOOOOOOOOVED me, and I love it, and how are you able to transcend the subject matter (not that there's anything wrong with it!) and just be so amazing, HOW, ???

In sum: ♥

um, that is, "to keep *this* story at arms' length," though it's not unreasonable that i left out the article there, because in a way, this story IS "story," all stories, everywhere, the ur-story, SIGH.

OMG, it was wonderful! I'm completely embarrassed that I got a little teary at the end, but I couldn't help it - the story was so GOOD and ARTHUR and EAMES and VIKINGS and it was perfect. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! I am glad it made you FEEL FEELINGS because that was pretty much what it was about. FEELINGS. Also HANDJOBS. Also Arthur fantasizing about letting his hot slave do ILLICIT FORBIDDEN STUFF TO HIM.
