Yay Twitter! I'm now following you (@classiccoke). :D

I'm starting grad school next month, and I too don't have Facebook.

I usually do one word searches and it works well. You may get random stuff that leads you to other one word searches. It addicting.

Added! I am also on pinterest, though I mostly just lurk and unfollow people's boards that make me feel bad that my kids are in daycare and I don't like to clean or do crafts. ;-) Twitter is fun as hell, though, especially for TW stuff. Lots of fannish shrieking, which is always more fun en masse!

Grad school, eh? Vaya con Dios! :-)

y-e-s, I have been knocking off a bunch of prerequs part time but it starts full time this fall and maybe I am shaking in my boots a little (hence procrastination.) On the other hand, it's only a Master's, and up until now I've taken classes with no childcare except to cover my class hours, and this fall I will have actual real childcare while I study, an unimaginable luxury. I mean, the studying I've done at playgrounds! The powerpoint presentations I've made while NB literally hangs around my neck or pushes me back from the computer saying "no e-mailing, don't do e-mail, come PLAY WITH ME."

An author who wrote a book on being a David Essex fan in her teens and whose name now escapes me said the following at a reading I went to: Guilt to a mother is like rain to Wales: buy yourself a bloody big umbrella and just get on with it.

Tumblr is the best for procrastinating! And tons of fandom people are on it, probably including lots that you like. Also, easy to lurk.
