So I can read, but not post, it seems. If everyone is in the same boat then there is nothing to read!

I am starting to see the point of Google+ and its ability to post blog post sized pieces of text in the sharing box, and its circles so you can filter. I really hope more people come over there soon!

But you just posted this! :)

I'm still not convinced by Google+ as you apparently have to use a real name. I don't mind letting people know I'm on facebook, but I keep LJ for a select group of people - apart from the CBBers, I don't think anyone else I have on FB even knows about LJ and I want to keep it that way. But it is annoying when it keeps falling over... I don't even want to go Wordpress or Blogger because there are people there I wouldn't want finding me. I just feel more anon and comfortable on LJ.

It took at least five attempts to post it!

I know the real name thing for Google+ is a bit irritating. But you can filter people just like lj, put them in 'circles' so that you choose exactly who sees what you post, every time. A couple of my circles have only one person in them!

It is much, much more customisable for what you share with who, than facebook.

However, I have had my lj for a long time now and my friends on here have supported me through an awful lot of crap. I don't want to leave it all behind, but I'm glad to have Google+ as well now I think!

A lot of the people I had added at first on G+ are abandoning it because of the real name/common name mess at the moment :-/ I know I didn't like it but right now it would be quite useful!

Still you can see LJ are working on it because I'm pretty sure my LJ is being up for longer/loading more often than it was yesterday

Yes it does appear to be working a bit better at the moment *crosses fingers*

I won't use Google until they sort the real name thing out, though I do by default use my real name everywhere.
