the day after

Nov 20, 2005 20:53

Went to an eating disorders self-help group this a.m. with a friend then foibey and I went up to the heath. Chekced out a hand-fasting location; un-touristy and nice. Hands were held. Snogging. :-) Then Hampstead Tea Rooms for CAKE, followed by flopping at home. TOO MUCH SLEEP for an afternoon nap; I awoke after 7 p.m.

cake, hand-fasting, love, ed

Oh yeah, well I... I went to my s/o's mom's house to do demo work. I.e. I moved all the furniture into the garage, tore up most of the carpeting, and painted the walls. Beat that, huh? :P

I know Thanksgiving isn't exactly international, but HAPPY FUCKING TURKEY WEEK! :D Be thankful for shit and eat some cranberries... oh, I don't know.

P.S. What's "hand-fasting"? And "Snogging"? And "Cake"?

*blinks* *takes at face value*

Hand-fasting is a pagan wedding ritual.

Snogging is british slang for making out.

Cake is probably something that is not cake, so I will have to let the owner post a response to that one.

Actual cake involving wheatflour, sugar, eggs, cocoa, baking etc. LJ took ages to forward the comment I'm replying to.

Ah. Glad I was right.

It is sometimes hard to tell when one is using slang and when one is not, especially when one capitalizes.

But it does sound yummy, and I totally understand why the response took so long. Happened to me too.

Have I mentioned that I think Nye is an awesome name?

Not tea cakes. I had chocolate gateaux with fresh strawberries on top.

(LJ comment/email was crap. Nye - not helensaysping anymore)

Snogging and cake followed by a nap? Wow, I am so jealous.
