Once you get used to f.book and all of the stupid game things like getting poked by people, it's not so bad.
I've found it's easier to keep in touch with folks.
If livejournal is a phone conversation, then facebook is a text.

I didn't know you were on facebook. There is a Class of 88 facebook group and lots of people on there from GH. I just saw Sarah Leighton was on there, too. Going to go look for you because it's easier for me to talk to people there, too. I only come on LJ via a link to your LJ so I can live vicariously through your life. hah
