Mercy me... that had to be one of the most awful experiences of my life. Having wings pop out my back like a rabbit out a hole was enough of an experience to last me the rest of my life. At least I was out through most of it. And I must say, they are rather darling little things. They are gray like a dove's feathers ( Read more... )

Accidental name puns are fun. lollovelyLovett? seethebirds December 11 2008, 21:20:13 UTC
Well, you learned your name, and it's a lovely one at that. The dress you pictured is very charming, as well. I am sorry to hear about your husband, however.

I have yet to receive an invitation to this ball everyone is mumbling about, so the idea is mysterious. Maybe it's that I'm living in an alley. Not as glamorous as worthy of a ball... I am also curious about 'Christmas' time, there evidently wasn't something named this in my old world. What might it be?

As my handwriting might now be recognizable to anyone, this is Kino from the fountain writing. And I'd love to take you up on your invitation to visit your shop, sometime. I'd help you with the pudding in return, however I'm not sure how well I know how to cook confectioneries.

Well it is a pleasure to hear from you again, love! Ah, quite a good turn of phrase there, dear. I suppose it can't help being a "lovely" name, eh? And thank you again, I do like it myself. Can't say I ever had a dress as nice as that. Too bad its just a costume. Don't worry about my old Albert, dear. That was a long time ago, seeing as how I'm not mourning him anymore.

Well that's a peculiar thing. I see no reason why you shouldn't recieve an invitation as well. I certainly don't live in no palace, myself.

You don't know about Christmas, love? Well, it is a time to remember loved ones and celebrate "good will towards man". People tend to give gifts around this time as well. I can't afford to buy nothing, myself, so I may just be baking. I'll be sure to save you a sweet.

I'd love the help, and you are more than welcome to stop by the shop anytime you like. And don't you worry about a thing, I'm having to relearn quite a bit, myself.

Hah, well thank you. And I am planning on wearing components of my costume wear after the fact, if they let me, so I suppose you might, too. It's might be more than just a costume?

It took them a while and me venturing into their castle, I suppose. I still wasn't suspecting anything to be left for me, but I was surprised.

I guess I've seen customs like that before, but none named Christmas. It seems like a really nice thing. Oh, well, I'll have to find something suitable for you in return!

Thank you, again. I'll be sure to come around some time soon, as soon I can find it.

That is a brilliant idea, Kino dear. "Waste-not-want-not" after all.

I am glad to hear that you received your invitation after all, I expect it will be quite an exciting evening. Have you found yourself a companion for the event?

That it is. It is nice to take some time to show some good will, I say. And don't you fret about finding me nothing, love.

I look forward to the visit, dear. The shop ain't too hard to find.

((ooc: feel free to set up a log whenever ya want :D))

I'm very sorry I didn't manage to get you to the hospital in time. You don't need to apologize, Nellie (I hope it's alright if I call you that).

That's a very nice dress... so, I take it you're planning to go to the ball? Would you... like to go with me? I realize we've only met a short while ago but... I'd very much like to go with you.

Don't you fret, love, I should have had the good sense to get myself to the doctors when I first felt the need. And you surely can, I expect after having to tote me to the hospital, we are well enough acquainted.

Why thank you, I did consider it. It was awfully kind of the owners of Old Home to invite me. I would be delighted to have you escort me, Mr. Dexter. How could I pass up an invitation from such a handsome gent like you.

I'm glad... I look forward to going with you. I've been practicing a little, so hopefully I will manage not to step on your feet to much ^^;

That's a really pretty dress, miss... and the things that go in your hair are really pretty. I wish I could wear something like that... my hair is really short, so I don't think there's much I can do with it.

Thank you dear, I thought so myself. Awfully kind of whoever sent it to me. I thought they were lovely, myself. I will have to tussle with this ole mop of mine to get it right.

Aw, love, I'm sure there is plenty to be done with your hair. You could always put a nice comb in it, or a hairpin. Is there a particular gentleman you wish to doll yourself up for?

I'm sure it will look really pretty, miss. The feathers are so nice! I've never seen a bird with fluffy black feathers like that...

W-well I don't know, it's really short...
