Joss Whedon: Well, what I think of Joss Whedon. Hmmm. Not quite as clever as some people think he is. He has wonderful ideas, but doesn't fully explore their potential. I love Firefly. But, he wasn't given the chance to really do anything with it. And the movie was a bit of a dissappointment, as far as exploring some of the arcs started in the show. BtVS, well. I am a total and complete B/G 'shipper, and enough said. And he kinda has Buffy's attitude towards magic, as far as showing it. Tell me what I can do, and don't explain the theories, whys, or wherefores. Which meant that a lot of the magic and folklore and Slayer/Watcher lore is neglected and insufficiently explained. I can't stand Angel, either the show or the character.
Animal Rescue: I think that any form of cruelty lessens a person's humanity, and any form of kindness or increases it. I believe that the people who do this type of work are performing a valid, heroic service. That said, I contribute to charities aimed at people, because I am chauvanist human.
Gil Grissom: "Just like Campbell's Soups: Mmmm-mmmm good!" Seriously, the man is yummy! He is so smart, and funny, and hot! I stopped watching the show when he left, because I was really only watching it for him. Bad of me, I know, but that's how I am, a lot of the time. A little shallow. (plus, it just isn't as good now) I am also a total Grissom/Sara 'shipper. I love the two of them together. (I have a thing about older men/younger women 'ships) I love when he has the beard, and hate when he shaves it off, not that it stops me from drooling.
Children: I love my three. I have a daughter and two sons. My girl is 11 going on 12. My older son is just turned 10. My youngest is just turned 2. They are smart, funny, and beautiful. My girl is as beautiful as a china doll. My oldest son is so handsome. My baby sometimes makes me ded of cute. They are, in some ways, reflections of me and their father, but each has his or her own personality. They fill my life. There is no joy or pain or love quite like the kind that children bring to you. Before my children, I did not realize I could or would willingly give my life just to spare someone a moment's pain. Not save their life, which I would in a heartbeat for my kids or my husband or mother. But if it would spare my child a moment's pain, I would take an eternity of it. Or give my life.
Music: I quite like music, all sorts. I have ecclectic taste. About the only kind I cannot stand is gansta rap. I have a lot of different influences, musically. I also have a pretty good singing voice. I cannot play an instrument, which I regret. I cannot site read music, as in I cannot look at a piece of music and tell what the notes are supposed to sound like, but I can sing by ear. My family is very musical, and whenever we gather together, we are very likely to burst spontaniously into song, much like a musical. I also sing along with the radio, even at work. Especially at work, as it is so boring.
