*hug* *cry* It was just awful... I watched it on tv. I cried; I was useless all that day, and I couldn't believe it.

Oh Dina, I am so glad that you weren't lost before I knew you. There's so much in the world that just makes no sense...

my parents were finding out about friends from my dad's time in the USAF had died at the Pentagon months after the event. Like, a little slice of 9/11 on Christmas day in, in a holiday card.

It's horrifying how one awful day has shaped so many, many days since, isn't it?

yeah, it's odd, though (or maybe not) about how it didn't really affect so much of the country on an individual level. People here talk about 9/11, but the New Yorkers & others who knew/lost people are the ones who choke up...
