Author Notes: Shortfics! I wrote these for a drabble meme~ One for corimari and one for soundczech. First request was Ryo/Shige, this, second one Ryo/Shige, Winkup Message Board. And yes, Shige really did write a message to himself in Winkup.

Our Song
[Ryo/Shige], PG
"You're stupid," Ryo says when he walks into the dressing room and Shige is listening to music in a language he doesn't understand. And it's not English. "You have no idea what the lyrics mean."
"So what?" Shige says defensively and crosses his arms over his chest. "It sounds pretty cool."

"God, you're so lame," Ryo says the next week, just before the photo shoot starts. "I can't believe you actually recommended it on your boring radio show! No one in Japan understands German. Including you!"
"I told you, it's good music," Shige retorts and frowns. "And it's not like I'm making you listen to it, ok?" He looks thoughtful for a minute. "Thanks for listening to my radio show."
"I wasn't," Ryo says and flushes. "I just turned on the radio by accident."
Shige's frown turns into a self-satisfied grin. "I didn't know you ca--"
"Where'd you get the crap German music anyway?" Ryo interrupts.
"Koyama's mom gave it to me," Shige says with a shrug. "The singer is the brother of a girl who always comes into the Ramen shop."
"Lame," Ryo concludes and rolls his eyes.

"I want an autograph," Ryo says, a week later.
Shige smirks. "Sure, Ryo-chan, where do you want me to sign--"
"Not you, retard," Ryo says impatiently. "Benny and the Jets! I listened to it the other day, they're really good! And you said you have some connections right? Koyama's mom or whatever? Well, I want an autograph."
Shige's face falls. "Ask Koyama yourself," he says, sounded disappointed.

"I love everything about you except your boyfriend," Ryo slurs. They're both completely smashed, though miraculously Ryo more so than Shige. "Well except I don't love you, 'cause you're a retard."
"I don't have a boyfriend," Shige replies, dumbly.
"Oh," Ryo says and shrugs. "Well, then."
He kisses Shige.

"It's our song," Shige suddenly mumbles into Ryo's hair, much later, when they're drifting of to sleep.
"What?" Ryo asks, not bothering to open his eyes.
"Our song! Benny and the Jets! It's --"
"Oh god, shut up, you girl," Ryo says, irritated. "If you ever - and I mean ever - say that again, I'll humiliate you in public." He pauses. "Even more so than usual."
"Mmm, ok," Shige mumbles, just as he drifts into sleep. "I love everything about you~"
"Shut up," Ryo repeats. "Now I have the song in my head. Thanks, retard."

"Oh, I like it!" Tego says when he hears the song for the first time. "Isn't it a great song, Massu? You could play it on your--"
"No you won't," Ryo snaps. "Shige already played it. It's our so--"

"What the hell?" Shige asks Ryo first thing in the morning, the day after he has read the Winkup messages. "You ask me to write to you and then you ignore me?"
"Your message was boring," Ryo says with a shrug and Shige sputters. "What do I care about your test results."
Shige sulks for the rest of the week.

"You wrote the same message twice," Shige complains. "Don't always say I have no work, it's not true!"
"You ignored me," Ryo says and for once he's the one who sounds sulky. "So I just wrote it again."
There is a tense silence after that and Shige breathes a sigh of relief when Koyama finally arrives and starts chattering about how cute both of his nephews are and how he wishes he could play with them every day. Massu is eating his first bento for today, Tegoshi is doing something on his laptop and Pi is dozing off, listening to his iPod.
"Well?" Ryo asks suddenly, not looking up from his magazine.
"Well what?" Shige frowns, confused.
"Well, are you coming over for watching DVDs or what?" Ryo sounds impatient and irritated. "You better say yes, since I was nice enough to ask you and all."
There is a short, uncomfortable pause and Ryo turns the page in his magazine even though he's obviously not really reading it. Shige feels as awkward as Ryo looks.
"Okay," he finally says.
